System Architecture and Planning is the bridge between the Design Document and the System Build. SOFGEN´s most experienced consultants provide inputs as to the overall configuration of the system. They map the functional design of the system to the software and they outline the overall framework and structure which will apply to the System Build, as well as parameterization, coding, customizations and local developments.
This activity is particularly important because of the effect that system architecture has on system maintenance overhead a key component of TCO and functional integrity, and important driver of user satisfaction.
In multi-site rollouts where support structures and demands for functionality are distributed over multiple geographies coherent system architecture is even more important. In the above example, both the technical architecture design and the functional architecture design are driven by a mix of requirements of bank specific/independent and location specific/independent considerations.
This System Architecture Document will guide the project team in linking legacy and external systems to the new core banking system and will ensure that system components are integrated in the most efficient manner.
