SOFGEN´s seven-step implementation methodology is based upon the result of years of experience in the field. In the mid 90´s a UK based consulting group studied 1,800 failed IT projects and by inference determined that 11 critical success factors (CSFs) invariably determined whether a project would succeed or fail.
It will be noted from the list above that the blue CSFs belong to the customer and that the black CSF´s belong to SOFGEN leading to the conclusion that the best implementer in the world cannot succeed without the full and willing participation of the customer. These 11 CSFs give real meaning to SOFGEN´s concept of partnering long term with our customers for mutual success.
The necessity to deliver on the above-mentioned critical success factors forms the foundation of our seven-step implementation methodology, more detail of which is listed below.Analyse
A project methodology does not replace people; the heart of SOFGEN lies in its corps of highly experienced and mobile employees. Unique in the world of banking consultancy, we employ people from over 30 countries with experience of implementing solutions in more than 100. Our consultants are multilingual and are willing to travel extensively. They come from culturally diverse backgrounds but they share the common values which underlie the SOFGEN ethos.
Led at the coal-face by our Project Managers and Principal Consultants, our Technical and our Business Consultants work as a team in partnership with our customers to deliver banking projects and solutions.
Over and above the tertiary educational qualifications our consultants bring to SOFGEN when they join as employees, they are provided with additional opportunities to enhance their knowledge. From functional and technical courses to project management programs, SOFGEN invests significant resources in training each year to ensure that our employees´ skills remain relevant and that our people continue to exceed the expectations of our customers.
